Vahe Patten is a Watcher in the King's guard. The vampire king, that is. As a Watcher, Vahe executes vampires who break the only major vampire law: keep the secret. When Dylan Andrew starts leaving his murder victims for the human authorities to find, something must be done. While in Haven, Vahe enters the dreams of a woman plagued with nightmares of her past. When he sees Dylan flirting with her in a bar, he knows she'll be his next victim.

Natalya Woods just wants to avoid her ex-husband. The small town of Haven, Maine seems perfect until she's attacked in the street by, literally, the man of her dreams.

Georgie’s Review

Dylan and Vahe are brothers, vampire brothers. One is known as a Watcher, the other a rogue and they both want Natalya for two very different reasons. One wants to love her, the other wants to kill her. As well, the brothers have been pitted against each other by their king; an order given for the rogue vampire to be killed.

Natalya moved to the small town to escape her abusive husband. Not only does she have to worry about him finding her, she has to be careful of the rogue vampire who has been stalking her. When she meets the Watcher, she is drawn to him, almost without a will of her own and when they come together, they sizzle the pages with hot, steamy sex.

Fear of Darkness is a fast paced story with well developed characters. I was drawn into each scene, feeling the fear of vampires unleashed as each chapter unfolded.

Fear of Darkness is book one of the In Darkness We Dwell series by Honoria Ravena; I will be sure to look for book two.
