Zoe has a problem and his name is Lieutenant Jagmeyer.

Zoe Carmichael has one true love—work. But a satisfying career doesn’t sate her desire for steamy Lieutenant Jagmeyer, a career military firefighter. He’s as anti-relationship as she is, if not more. She sees in him the perfect opportunity for companionship without commitment.

Things, however, don’t always work out as one plans.

When Jag becomes Zoe’s protector after a death threat against her life, unbridled passion pulls at them both. Can Zoe resist falling for Jag who wears his hardcore badge for everyone to see? Will Jag risk losing everything he’s worked for?

Angelique’s Review

“Double Dare” was a cleverly crafted romantic thriller. Once you begin, you will not want to put this sexy novella down. And when you get to the end, the perpetrator of this “who done it” will come as a huge surprise.

Zoe is my favorite kind of heroine, smart and tough. Jag is the ideal hero – disciplined and manly with a sense of humor. By the end of the book, you will be rooting for them to get together already!

What impressed me most in this book was Ms. Carver’s knowledge and research about the Air Force. The information was accurate and made an excellent backdrop for the budding romance. Plus, who can deny a man in uniform?

Overall, this was an incredibly enjoyable book and I look forward to seeing what Ms. Carver come out with next.
