Motherhood is out, Hallie's started a new life and Baz is harboring a small secret that could break her heart all over again.

Will the their sizzling chemistry and Hallie's warm heart be enough to overcome the timing and make this Christmas all about love?

Christy’s Review

Halliday Scott aka Hallie is a small town veterinarian who works alongside Dr. Jesse Outlaw in the families’ veterinary clinic. She moved from Los Angeles to Eden, Maine after having her marriage proposal to Jesse’s son Baz rejected. After refusing Hallie’s proposal, Baz arranged for Hallie to work with his father and in return he promised to stay away from her. She wants to be a mother and her time to conceive is running out. Hallie’s strong, confident and she really wants to have a baby of her own with the man she loves.

Basil Outlaw aka Baz was separated from his father, brother and sister when his mother divorced his father. He’s been away from his family for over 20 years. When he comes back to Eden, everyone is surprised to see him especially Hallie. After Hallie left over a year ago, Baz realizes that he’s made a mistake in rejecting her proposal. He’s ready now to marry Hallie and give her the baby she wants but, he has a secret that she doesn’t know about that might ruin his chance of getting her to agree to marry him.

This story is about love, betrayal and forgiveness. Baz is determined to make Hallie his wife and she’s just as determined to stay as far away from him as possible. Hallie has a secret of her own that Baz doesn’t know about and this puts an interesting twist to the story.

I really enjoyed this story, Ms. Yost captured my attention from page one. The storyline was well written and the characters were amazing. I loved learning all about them and hope she’ll write more stories about the secondary characters. The sex scenes were well written and not overly explicit. I feel they didn’t take away from the plot of the book. This is the first book by Ms. Yost that I have read and I will defiantly be reading more of her books. About a Baby deserves 4 ½ tea cups with a heat rating of 2.
