Her life is an endless string of disasters.

When Misty McNeil is arrested for breaking and entering, calling Tanner Theroit to bail her out seems like a good idea…until he asks what’s so important she’d risk going to jail for. Admitting she was trying to retrieve a gift he’d given isn’t something she wants to confess.

Misty’s night in the slammer is only the tip of the iceberg. Her life quickly takes a turn for the worse. With only one week to move out of her apartment, she turns – yet again – to Tanner to bail her out.

Tanner is determined to prove he wants nothing less than all of her. Too bad Misty has a been-there-done-that attitude when it comes to relationships. But…will Tanner be the one man who can offer her a deal she can’t refuse?

Content warning, explicit sex, strong language and a sexy, hard bodied construction worker turned executive.

Lorien’s Review

Misty McNeil is having a really bad week. First, she gets arrested for breaking and entering her ex’s place to retrieve a keepsake locket. Then, she has one week to move out of her apartment before her landlord renovates the building. And last, her parents are on the verge of a divorce after thirty years. Everything seems endless but one thing was always certain, Tanner Theroit.

For years, Tanner only sees Misty as his best friend’s little sister. That quickly changes the night Misty calls him to bail her out of the slammer. Realizing her situation, Tanner lets her stay at his condo while he helps her find a new place. But every time they get closer, sexual tension and lust ignites. When her abusive ex threatens her, charming Tanner comes to her rescue once again.

About Last Night turned out to be more than what I had expected. Both the title and book cover originally caught my attention, but the story details plenty of emotional depths and romantic scenes.
Some parts happen quickly in the book, but there were moments that had me laughing with excitement. Rhonda Leah crafted an interesting story with realistic and likable characters. It had just the right amount of romance and sexual chemistry to keep the pages turning. If you’re looking for a sexy, fun read, don't miss this book.
