The best things about Lucifer’s Slave are the BDSM scenes. They were very hot in the way that well-written BDSM scenes tend to be. I do wish there had been a little more character development during these scenes as I wasn’t able to connect with Jacqueline, the submissive, or Masters Reaper and Lucifer, the Doms. Perhaps if the novella was longer, there would be more of an opportunity to know what distinguishes these characters from all the others out there and what qualities they like in each other (aside from the dominant or submissive tendencies).
It’s a tale of a submissive who meets a couple of Doms and they decide to commit themselves to one another. I love a happily ever after, but this all seemed very sudden because I didn’t really get to know the characters except in the most generic sense.
I recommend this to anyone who likes to read scorching BDSM and isn’t looking for an involved storyline. Ms. Starbright is a talented writer, and I look forward to reading longer works by her.
