Monica's Review
Passionate Bid by Tierney O'Malley was an awesome book written with so much love and sincerity. This story is about a bachelor, Julian Ravenwood, about to be wed to a woman that he did not love but was being forced to by her dad because she was under age, Joanie Saint Claire. Basically he did the deed and took her virginity, and being a minor he had to suffer the consequences—either marry her or go to jail. What Julian did after they were married was unbelievable. There is only one twist, okay maybe two, a bundle of joy, Sam and a girlfriend or ex-girlfriend.
O'Malley does a marvelous job in Chapter Fourteen in describing how a jealous girlfriend will do anything to get her man back. Only problem is don't do anything that you will regret later. O'Malley does excellent writing on how manipulative Julian's ex-girlfriend can be in retaking what she believes is hers. This happens in so many relationships and it is crazy to see what extremes people to thought to get there way but they ruin it at the end.
I highly recommend for you to read this book—it is just amazing! One poem that was written in this book I will not forget as it was written with so much love, it makes you imagine how it would feel is the man you love did this for you. I will share just a small quote from the poem and then you will have to read the book to see how the poem finishes, "If I leave you both now, what will happen to me? Will I miss your cooking, your voice, our kisses, and Sam? Will I feel strange when I open my eyes and not see the stain on the ceiling and not find you in my arms?"
