Blurb

Book 1 in the Red Velvet Rope series.

Katherine Higgins is the no-nonsense owner of trendy Las Vegas casino Taboo, and she has a secret. Every night her fantasies are filled with visions of her bodyguard dominating her. Seth Kyoto is Katherine’s no-nonsense bodyguard, and he too has a secret—every night his fantasies are filled with visions of his boss submitting to him.

From the moment Katherine hired Seth, their strong personalities clashed. Underneath their mutual animosity is a simmering attraction neither wants to acknowledge, but they can no longer ignore. And when someone threatens Katherine’s life, Seth is forced to stay close to her, closer than either is comfortable with. While they’re stuck together, two secrets will be revealed and every one of their fantasies fulfilled.

But they each hold one last secret that, if it comes to light, could ultimately tear them apart.

Claudette's Review

Another winner from Ms. Aiden. I’m not a fan of BDSM but that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story. The BDSM element is crucial to the storyline and the characters interaction. Seth Kyoto is the head of security at a casino. The casino is owned and run by Katherine, a woman working in a male dominated profession. A strong confident woman who can be very demanding of the staff who work under her.

Seth is a dominant male and he has no intension of acting on the fierce attraction he feels for his boss. Not only is a relationship with her unprofessional, but Katherine doesn’t have a submissive bone in her body. She’s a Diva with a capital D. A woman who always has to be in control of every situation.
Sexually Seth is pure dom, and he knows that Katherine could never be the kind of woman he needs sexually, no matter how sexy he finds her. When Katherine saw Seth enjoying sexually dominating a woman at a BDSM club, she had no idea that she would find it so arousing. But while Katherine acknowledges that she wants Seth, she cannot give into lust and expect their relationship to remain the same.

When she gains a stalker, one who is issuing anonymous death threats, Katherine refuses to take his efforts to protect her seriously. He moves in with her and their close proximity threatens the fragile barrier they have to acting on their mutual attraction. Katherine finds it increasingly difficult to maintain her business persona when she is around Seth 24/7.

Does she have it in her to submit -- at least in the bedroom?
Ms. Aidan’s writing always stands out because of the quality of the writing and characterization.
