Blurb

Fear almost crushes Thomasina (Tommy) Lindsay when she realizes the enormity of what she has undertaken - a rundown farm in frontier Australia. From green English fields she journeys to a land where danger lurks around every corner. Savage natives, bushfires, and a harsh, unforgiving environment, not to mention a hostile neighbor, Adam Munro, who is hell-bent on taking over her farm. Adam has lived his life without love and doesn’t need it now. Passion is for fools. All he wants is a presentable wife who will provide him with heirs, and he decides Tommy Lindsay is that woman.
Only in the new world can a high-born young Englishwoman and a tough frontiersman challenge the social boundaries and ignite a romance that will fulfill all their hopes and dreams.

Ren’s Review

Thomasina Lindsey, affectionately known as Tommy, is traveling to the Australian Outback with her brothers Jamie and David, to claim the land that was left to them by their Uncle Henry.

Adam Munro is a wealthy landowner with eyes on the property. He wants the land and will do anything to get it.

When Tommy and Adam meet, the fight for the land becomes more of a test of wills as they begin to fall for each other.

When I first started reading this, I immediately thought of Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman of the movie Australia. I kept those two in mind as I read this wonderful novel.

How can anyone not love a well-written story featuring the beauty of one of the world’s most exotic countries?

I have never been to Australia but I do have it on my “Top Ten Places To Go”.

Margaret Tanner has crafted a very lovely story, filled with vivid depictions of the Australian Outback, the teasing conflict between the main characters and just enough sizzle to make you blush.
