Isabelle first fell in love with Sean when she was fifteen years old. Six years her senior, he saw her as a gawky teenager. While at college, Isabelle has found the perfect boyfriend. Justin is patient, kind and a complete gentleman. Sean’s feelings for her have changed, and he is tired of sitting by while she is with another man. Driven by desire and love, he does everything within his power to win the woman that he loves.

Justin, the once-perfect boyfriend, begins to fall apart at the idea of losing Isabelle. In a moment of rage and desperation, he does something horrific, effectively changing their future forever.

Will Sean’s love be enough to get them through the pain? Or will Isabelle walk away from Sean forever? And does love truly know no boundaries?

Note: This book contains rape of the heroine.

Denise’s Review

Oh, where to begin?

I love stories like this; I can’t get enough. The whole unrequited/forbidden love thing is a big plus in my book. Therefore, I was understandably drawn to this book and I couldn’t wait to get started.

I wanted to love it, and if I couldn’t love it, I wanted to like it. I wanted it so badly, but it just didn’t happen. There were too many obstacles working against it to make it work. I pushed on because, as I said, this sort of story is the type I will read over and over again if there is substance within the pages. The problems I had with it would have warranted a 2 Tea-Cup rating had it not jumped the shark about a third of the way through.

The story was good, even if the writing wasn’t, and I kept plugging through until the author took a perfectly likeable, however jilted character and turned him into a rapist. It threw me completely out of a book with which I was already struggling. I might have believed this dramatic shift had the character development been strong enough, but it wasn’t. For me, this turned what could have been an “okay” novella into a theatrical soap opera.

I will say the author was quite talented at developing tension and a strong emotional bond between her main characters, Sean and Izzy. I enjoyed their scenes together.

If you’re willing to overlook these flaws, I encourage you to read Love Knows No Boundaries. It was an entertaining read, at the very least.
