Corporal Zane Creswell is stationed on board the U.S.S. Excelsior, a space exploration vessel as part of the Marine Security Force in a future where gay Marines serve right alongside of their straight brothers and sisters.

A new batch of replacements shuttle in, and Creswell experiences a strong attraction to a Private coming on board and they arrange to meet privately to discuss life on the ship. This leads to one hot, explosive contact in their "piece of the universe."

Ren’s Review

Zane Creswell is the ranking Corporal on the military space craft Excelsior. Tyson Bickford is among the group of new recruits that arrives on board and Zane is instantly attracted to him. When he finds out that his feelings are reciprocated, Zane and Tyson share a night of hot steamy sex.

I was intrigued by the interaction between these two and was left wishing for a longer story for them. Since this is set about a hundred years into the future, I would have liked to have seen how Zane and Tyson navigated their way through strange new worlds, conflicts and other situations that may have arisen. The author has created a world that pulls the reader in and leaves them wanting more.

In light of the recently revoked “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and the more disastrous “Prop 8”, it is my sincere hope that people will start accepting each other as human beings in reality and not just on paper.
