Review: Courting Kel by Dee Brice

Courting Kel by Dee Brice

Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Genre: Sci-Fi Romance

Heat Rating: 2

Abducted from her homeworld, Amazonian warrior Kel finds herself imprisoned on Ondrican, a sexual slave to its heir, Prince Aren. Being older than most Amazonians are when they take their first lovers, Kel is more than willing to discover pleasure in his embrace. But when Aren announces taking her virginity has made them husband and wife, Kel vows to escape him and return home. She wants his wooing but not the wedding.

Aren has known for years he must marry and produce a legitimate heir. He finds Kel’s untutored lovemaking a sensual delight, but her refusal to acknowledge their marriage stuns him and hurts his pride. Determined to win her warrior heart, he takes his reluctant bride to the country and weaves a spell of sensual pleasure around them both.

Behind the lovers’ backs, their parents are plotting to keep them together. Only the marriage of their hearts will end centuries of feuding between their worlds.

Ashira Datya’s Review

Kel, a princess of an Amazonian-like world, was thrust into a strange new world with Aren, a handsome man that made her blood sing, who would change her life, and her people forever.
I really enjoyed reading Courting Kel because Kel was so self confident with everything but her love life. It was sweet to read about her awe when she realized this new world she found herself on had many things her own world had!
Aren is more than meets the eye and is not the ordinary man and Kel is shocked by what her relationship with Aren means for her future. Together, Kel and Aren must look past their differences if their two worlds are going to survive.
I loved this story, it was different and amusing and endearing. I give it four and a half Tea Cups and am hoping that there is a sequel.

4 1/2 Tea Cups!
