Artist Pleasance Roberts had no idea that her client was a French terrorist, or that he’d used her talents to kill people. But when a certain, sexy, Federal Agent set his sights on her, she realized nothing was what it seemed. Suddenly she wasn't sure who was more dangerous to her well being; her sneaky client, or the uber sexy agent with dark red hair and a funny name, who held serious claim to her body and threatened to walk away with her heart.
Alfric Honeybun thought the lady with the lovely mocha latte skin and startling blue eyes was working with the terrorists. But when those same terrorists tried to kill both of them, Alfric found himself spending a LOT of time with the pretty artist. He’d had no intention of falling in love. But his body wasn't taking direction from his brain. And things were heating up pretty fast.
Hunter’s Review
Wow. I am completely in love with these red-headed Honeybun men. Much life the first book in the series, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Honeybun is an adventure story that pairs together Pleasance Roberts and Alfric Honeybun against a terrorist organization bent on killing them.
All of the brothers make an appearance and as Sam Cheever proves herself to be an expert at creating slow sexual tension between two characters that finally explodes at just the right moment.
I loved that Pleasance was such a strong, capable woman who could take care of herself but knew when to ask for help. I loved how Alfric held back his Alpha tendencies because he knew he had a partner in Pleasance. In general, I loved this book and I think you will too. One warning, leave time to read this because once you start you won’t want to stop reading it. It’s the kind of book that has you going ‘What’s going to happen next?’ for most of the day.
