A standalone story in the Hunters for Hire series.
Death—so skilled, grown men cry at her approach. Roses—so sweet, she enchants their senses. Scharsi—for one man, an unbelievably sexy combination of the two.

The Amalgamation is the definition of evil in her world. Scharsi has spent years hiding from them. Now she must hunt the agent who killed the only man who ever loved her. Nobody will stop her.

Tanil, an Amalgamation officer left for dead by his own crew, must avoid capture. On the run, wounded and weak, he comes upon the one woman in the ’verse he should be running from. But Scharsi isn’t what the government claims she is—a born and bred killer. Deadly? Absolutely…but addictive, hot. She makes his skin sizzle and sends his blood racing with a look. Her touch? Devastating. He wants her, needs her.

Scharsi doesn’t have time for distractions while on a hunt, but Tanil won’t hesitate to prove that a bit of delicious distraction is just what she needs.

Hunter’s Review

Although I am usually wary of any book that starts out with a glossary, in this case I will give Death and Roses a slide because it is a fantastic book and I suppose I can understand why they thought readers who were not familiar with the series might need a little help.

I thoughts this was a great book. It had action, romance, and a world that is fascinating to read. The characters feel real and TJ Michaels leads us through a romping good time and out the other mind as she sucks her readers into a world so unique I’ve never read anything quite like it.

I highly recommend this book. Take a trip into this world, you won’t regret it.

Wow! Thanks so very much for this review. It's the first one I've seen for this book and I'm just over the moon!
