Janet's Review

Put the kids to bed, unplug the phone, grab a blanket & a glass of your favorite drink and be prepared to enjoy an old-fashioned romance novel. So if you're looking for something “sex-rotic” this is not it. I fell in love with Abby and River’s story within the first few pages; they had me smiling and rooting for them through-out the book.

It starts of with a bang -- Abby’s abusive husband is killed by a soil dove and she’ll need to return to her self-indigent father. River is “almost outlaw”, half Indian & Irish -- not a well liked mix, in the Old West. He’s struggling to stay “legit” and to keep his farm from being foreclosed on by the bank.

Their story starts off with River breaking into Abby’s bedroom and he ends up spending the night. The next day he tries to rob a stage coach, but ends kidnapping Abby to hold her for ransom. She neatly turns the tables and hires him to impersonate her “banker” husband in a new town. So before he can blink, he’s a respectable banker and he’s married to Abby.

I especially loved the part where…. sorry, you’ll need to find your own favorite parts, but it won't be to hard! I’ll definitely be adding Ms Mitchell to my Most-Wanted Author’s List and be on the look-out for more of her books in the future.
