Power. Werewolf Alexa O’Brien has more power than she can handle. Learning how to control and use it effectively is at the top of her priority list. The one man who has the knowledge she needs is the vampire she loathes, Harley Kayson. He just so happens to be the sire of her vampire lover, Arys Knight.

Alexa’s wolf mate, Shaz, wants her to feel secure with the power she commands, especially with unwelcome new werewolves in town. Despite sharing some steamy encounters with Alexa, Arys and Shaz rarely see eye to eye. This time is no different.

Arys doesn’t want Alexa anywhere near Harley. When desperation drives Alexa to make a deal with Harley, Arys is livid. Conflict threatens to destroy Alexa’s relationship with Arys, but due to their eternal bond, they can never truly walk free of each other.

When Arys teams up with his sire to revisit their sordid past, the pain he and Alexa inflict on one another rises to a scathing boil. Alexa comes to realize that her only solution is to fulfill Arys’ greatest wish and worst nightmare, regardless of the consequences.

Monica's Review

Only Vampires Cry Blood by Trina M. Lee was a great book full of mystery, suspense and passion. The theme of the book was captivating of how the human world, werewolf world and vampire world evolve into one. There is loss, sacrifice and darkness that lingers throughout this book. The way Trina M. Lee wrote this book had you guessing on how Alexa could hold so much power in her werewolf world. The most interesting part is how Alexa O'Brien has her werewolf mate, Shaz Richardson but also has a vampire lover, Arys Knight. This was very interesting. The mystery all lays within Alexa and how she needs to manage her new powers because if she cannot handle them correctly it can all be too tragic for her, her mate and lover.

You have her werewolf mate, Shaz, who will protect her no matter what —that is the Alpha werewolf in him to protect his mate no matter what, but also he comprehends that she does need to learn how to handle her powers in order not to lose her. Then you have her vampire lover, Arys, that hates her going to his sire for help in trying to figure out her true powers and how to put them into good use. Arys loves her but the amount of power frightens him knowing that his sire knows what Alexa is capable of.

This is where all of the action, deceit, suspense comes in with the werewolves and vampires. Alexa is the key and is unaware of what she is capable of doing when she understands how her powers work. Will her relationship with Arys be saved or will he hate Alexa for what she is capable of doing. With feelings of hate that arise, Shaz is not far behind in the story—remember he is mate to Alexa and no matter what he will be there to protect and serve her and she wishes.

They are so many friends that will be tested in this book to see if they are willing to help her secure her powers or will they turn the other way and see her fail. How will this affect the two worlds? As you read this book you find out more about how Alexa has come to have all of her power and how that will help her grow into what she truly is and see if she can handle living among the werewolves and vampires, along with not only being the mate to her Alpha, Shaz, but having a lover that is a vampire, Arys. I recommend this book highly to any one that is into reading a book full of twists and turns in two paranormal worlds and how they will come to fit together.
