Review: A Gift Beyond All Measure by Anna Kathryn Lanier

A Gift Beyond All Measure by Anna Kathryn Lanier

Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Heat Rating: 2

Arriving home for Christmas, the last thing Jacob Scott expects in his house is a sexy, shotgun-toting stranger. Worse, his attraction to her bothers him even more than the gun. Still reeling from the deception of his long-time girlfriend, he’s not looking for romance.

Tessa Jones has learned one hard lesson—when everyone in your life has failed you, the only one you can trust is yourself. Facing the whispers of the townsfolk and an arson charge, Tessa unexpectedly finds herself trusting Jacob with more than her legal troubles.

Struggling between the promise of the present and the hurts of the past, can these two lost souls overcome their pain long enough to discover a gift beyond all measure?

Lisa’s Review

A nice read by Anna Kathryn Lanier. Jacob Scott is a lawyer returning home for Christmas to recover from a very bad break up and get’s quite a shocking homecoming. Tessa Jones is a woman with a troubled past with seemingly no hope for a decent future. She has been hired on as a temporary cook by Jacob’s sister to work on Jacob ranch.

Can Tessa learn to trust Jacob when she’s never had anyone she could rely on before? Will Jacob be able to trust in Tessa or will he listen to the rumors that Tessa burned down Baxter’s Diner?

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance especially at Christmas time.

Thanks for the wonderful review.

As a special treat to my readers, you can download a FREE, no strings attached, A Gift Beyond All Measure Cookbook. With Tessa being a cook on the ranch, there's a lot of food mentioned in the story and she decided to release a cookbook. Find it on Anna Kathryn's website.
