Rachel runs Rapunzel’s, a high-end salon on the lower level of a downtown Chicago high rise and lives happily in self-imposed exile in an apartment at the top of the tower—that is until Jake Malden walks in with his teen daughter, Emma, and presents Rachel with a dilemma. Young Emma is determined to defy her mother’s wishes and get her long, beautiful, untouched hair cut off so she can donate it to charity to honor a friend with cancer. Rachel’s decision to cut the girl’s hair starts a snowball of drama, turmoil and hidden secrets rolling downhill on a course with destiny that no one is able to stop, one that ultimately threatens not only Rachel’s livelihood, but her slowly melting heart as well.

Warnings: This title contains graphic language and sex and makes mention of vibrators, hockey, cappuccinos, silk panties, thigh highs, cheerleaders, big bald gay men, lawyers, ex-wives and contains one very hot, very sexy, and quite unforgettable limo ride.

Stacey's Review

Another installment of Selena Kitt’s wonderfully wicked fairy tale’s. She takes everything you’ve ever thought you knew about happy endings and shows you what TRUE love really is. I have loved every single one of her books in this series and I have never been disappointed. These are the fairy tales you can truly believe in.

Rachel owns a high end salon that caters to the rich. She spends day and night making other people achieve the one thing she no longer can. The ability to feel beautiful. Sure, she has long, gorgeous, flowing hair—but it’s a wig. You see, Rachel is sick and she has been receiving cancer treatments, which have caused her to lose her own gorgeous locks. If she has it her way, none of her ritzy clientele will ever know that her hair isn’t her own.

When a 17 year old girl and her newly divorced father come into Rachel’s salon, everything changes. Who knew a 17 year old girl would be the source of her newfound courage. When Rachel decides to ler her hair down, literally, in front of the girl’s father, he does what she expected him to do….he leaves.

When he returns, he makes his feelings perfectly clear to Rachel. He wants to see her. All of her. He won’t settle for anything less. Can they overcome their obstacles together? Or are they doomed to never get their happy ending?

Drew has been working her ranch with only one other person for so long she is more than happy to hire ex-convicts Jeb and Marshall and give them a chance to help her through the winter. Not only do they warm her bed and work the ranch, they help keep her safe from whoever is intent on sabotaging her farm and possibly taking her life.

Jeb and Marshall served their time and are ready to get on with their lives. Unfortunately, no one wants to hire ex-convicts. Drew gives them a chance to prove they’re trustworthy and more than up for the job. When Drew is injured, they take care of the ranch and her at the same time.

When the dust settles and the culprit is behind bars, will they stay with Drew and start a family, or will they move on?

Monica's Review

When Drew finds herself hiring two ex-cons she knows that she is in big trouble. There is something about the two cowboys that intrigue her. She is a very strong woman and has been handling her ranch with only one person helping since her husband past away. Drew knows that the winter is almost upon them and she needs the help. There are also things that are happening at the ranch but she can’t figure out who is doing the harm.

Jeb and Marshall are both drawn to Drew from the moment that they laid eyes on her. They know that they are ex-cons but would like to see if they could have something with her. They know she has needs and it seems to them that they can take care of them. Once they see things happening at the ranch they know they cannot leave until they find out who is threatening the life of Drew. Sure first it starts off as fence cuttings, then someone endangering the horses but when they find her unconscious with a goose on the back of her head they know someone is out to get her killed.

Although I loved the characters in this story, I had a hard time believing the storyline. I can’t say specifically what it was but there was something missing in the relationship. Everything happened so fast, the way they became one. Yet they had their doubts about the relationship but it still happened. Then Jeb actually never admitted his feelings for Marshall and never came clean about what happened to Drew. I feel as if Drew was cheated out of this relationship. Marshall and Jeb never came out and told Drew about what happened in their past, what happened to them before they went to prison. How they knew each other and what kind of lives they lived. How they became who they are. Why they need each other in a ménage relationship.

I can say is that Jeb and Marshall are truly great lovers. I felt so bad for one of the secondary characters, Kenny. He was also in a different kind of relationship which also had rough patches. Kenny was involved with another man by the name of Robert. Jeb and Marshall were not discreet when it came to loving Drew. Jeb was a very dominate man and he let Drew know that when in the bedroom she listened to him and do as he told her. When she found herself over his knee and received a spanking she found herself intrigued and could not believe she wanted more.

Overall it was a good book. If you love hot ménages and hot cowboys you may want to add this one to your shopping list.

Cougar Hunting is a sexy contemporary romance set in Atlanta, Georgia and South Beach, Florida. When Terri Eisenman, a successful thirty-nine-year-old widow, first spots Chad Edwards during one of her nights out with her pack of cougar friends, she crumbles to her desires to have him. However, Chad, a young and successful businessman in his own right, presents much more of a challenge than she assumes. His group of friends also hunts for and plays with older women.

Complications ensue when Terri and Chad find themselves in a business relationship. Both share one belief: business and personal relationships don’t mix. Controlling a boiling passion and coping with fears of commitment mount as they work for a solution. The only way to save both their business and personal lives is admitting their unique qualities, which complement each, and form a new partnership.

Monica's Review

Game Plan – love’em, leave’em, and forget’em, a motto that many men and women use but for Terri and Chad it became complicated.

Now a day’s age does not matter but not when it comes to the heart is something that someone cannot just shut off. Chad thought that he could challenge Terri in trying to keep up with his stamina but Terri was way ahead of him.

Terri is out to have fun since her husband passed away almost three years ago and seeks younger men to fulfill a need in her that somehow was not accomplished during her marriage. She was married to an older man so when she encounters Chad in a club there is something about him that encourages her to talk to him. Soon she finds herself working with him but she knows that she can not mix business with pleasure. There is only one problem there is a connection between them that she is not able to let go. Now if only she can remember what it felt like to be intimate with him since the first time they were both drunk.

Chad basically challenged himself and Terri from the moment that they met but he was totally wrong about her. He finds himself thinking about her all the time something that he is not used to. He becomes accustomed to their embraces and kisses. When he sees a painting of someone that looks familiar he knows he must have it. He wonders who it is there is something in the eyes of the painting but can not think of who it might be. When he confronts his best friend that painted the painting he knew he had been set up but still does not know who it resembles. When he finally figures it out he cannot believe it the one person that has been haunting his dreams. Only that he should have put the painting in a very secure place where Terri could not come across.

Cougar Hunting doesn’t just deal with Chad and Terri it has other characters that I hope come into play in other books. Only these two characters are what I would say the ring leader for their group. I love how the author kept the spark between them going, especially with Chad. Chad was a man that had women flocking him wherever he went but he was able to stay away from them. Their relationship took awhile to actual become that but it was interesting how they were able to still work together and stay on track. Their commitment to their work came first.

I enjoyed this story, it was fun, witty and it had its romance.

Dana has always loved Clay, her brother’s best friend. She’d grown up with him always around, and when she left to pursue a modeling career in New York and to go to college, leaving him behind was difficult.

Coming home for vacations and holidays through the years, she began to realize the brotherly feelings were gone, replaced with lust and need. On one storm-riddled night, she’d nearly seduced him.
With time, she began to learn what got her excited and realized she’d become an unconventional woman in most men’s eyes. Coming home for good, Dana finally let Clay know her secret. If he could accept her need for toys, spanking, and bondage in the bedroom, they might stand a chance at a future together.

Monica's Review

His Unconventional Woman is a story about a man and woman that fell in love with each other five years before she returned home. Due to a relationship that she had with a man he made her believe that she was a cold woman. Only that her body did not desire that man her body desired her brother’s best friend. Now he knew he loved her but he still saw her as the kid that went everywhere with him and her brother. But one kiss during a christening has their bodies burning for each other.

Dana is a strong woman but deep down in her heart she knows that she might lose the one man that she has loved. When she saw him with another woman she thought she lost him and she settled with another man. He introduced her to sex toys, bondage, spanking amongst other thing but she could not seem to get aroused. So when she returns home and sees Clay for the first time in almost five years she knows that if he cannot accept her with her sexual ways hopes at least that they will not loose their friendship.

Clay knew from the moment that he had a taste of her he was done. Sure he dated but there was know one like Dana and that is how it stayed until she came home. From the moment that he kissed her he knew he was toast, he was in love. Only problem is that Dana kept on rejecting him saying that he needed someone that could actually love him the way he deserved. I am glad that Clay did not give up because after dinner with Dana’s brother and wife he got the will power to call her while she was at a photo shoot. That is where their future would start.

When Clay received a box from Dana he became instantly aroused of just imagining the different sex scenarios that could take place with all the toys in the box. The symbol of the box and the note told Clay that Dana finally trusted him with her unconventional ways. Then there was the part where some of those toys could also be used on him and not only that there would be times that Dana wanted to be in charge. Could he truly give up control and have Dana do as she pleased with his body and with whatever toy she decided to use on him or in him.

I did enjoy that even though you knew that they would stay together there is always someone that wants to ruin the relationship, but with Dana’s way of thinking she seems to somewhat solve the problem. The sex scenes were hot, when finally they were able to get rid of the fact that Dana liked a little kink in her sex. The story was good but it was a little to slow for me. They seemed to dance around and act on how they truly felt for each other but it did make for a secure relationship. They were able to talk about everything and not let circumstances change their way. The storyline was believable and romantic and nice that even Dana’s brother, Jeff, and his wife, Lisa, had a role in making their relationship work.

All around, His Unconventional Woman was a good read with good characters. Enjoy this read and see if you also don’t fall in love with Dana and Clay, as I did.

Liberty Slater and her young son have been virtual prisoners of her father-in-law since her husband’s death. The only thing that has given her comfort is the wild wolf living in the woods behind her home. She can tell her wolf her hopes, dreams and fears. But her wolf isn’t what he appears; he’s actually Damon Hix--a shifter sent by the half-brother she never knew about to bring her home.

When Damon reveals himself things get complicated, and what was supposed to be a snatch and grab changes the second he touches Liberty. He knows she belongs to him and him alone, no matter what it takes he will free Liberty.

Yadkny's Review

Liberty has been living with the fear that her son will grow up to be just as cold and domineering as her father-in-law. Unfortunately, Libby is without options on how to stop the seemingly inevitable. Her only solace is the wolf that has become her confidant and given her a small of peace of mind if only for a brief moment each day. It is only when she least expects it that her prayer for freedom is answered and a discovery is made that changes everything about past and her future.

Damon knew Liberty had changed his life the minute he saw her. By playing the role of a non-shifting wolf, he got to know the real Liberty. With each visit became more intrigued and more aware of his growing feelings and protective instincts towards the widowed mother. She became more to him than a mission his alpha sent him on. Now a small window of opportunity has opened for him to grant her freedom and stake his claim.

This story may not be packed with pages, but it is packed with emotion and heat. Most of the story’s focus is on Libby and Damon, but as the Alexander family reunites, we see trouble brewing for them with the Dark Fae Queen. Unlikely allies are formed and an unforeseen pairing of mates takes place. However, much of the details were rushed toward the end, so it leaves the reader with a happily-ever-after and a small cliffhanger.

This second in The Alexander Wolves series may not have been as action-packed as the first, but the feelings between Libby and Damon were wonderfully uncomplicated. I expect quite an interesting adventure is about to take place in the next installment, but first one more Alexander must be reunited with her family. Readers needing a quick escape into the world of shape-shifting wolves will enjoy this story.

Tara Rustle has just spent her twenty-third birthday alone, just like her last six birthdays. She arrives home from work to find her home burning to the ground. This event is the crux of Tara's grief for the mother she lost six years previously and the loneliness she has endured, and she snaps.

Tara wakes up in the arms of two sexy, masculine men, Clay and Johnny Morten, in the town of Slick Rock, Colorado, with no memory. She feels comfortable with the two men, so when they offer her a job cooking for them on their ranch, she accepts their offer. Little does she know the two men were once her childhood neighbors.

Tara's memory returns. Clay and Johnny set about seducing the one woman they have lusted after for years. Everything seems to be progressing nicely, until an old flame of Johnny and Clay's turns up. Celia is insane and threatens Tara's life.
Will Clay and Johnny get to Tara in time to save her from a crazy ex-lover? Or will Celia win and end Tara's life?

Monica's Review

Well the Slick Rock Cowboys surely move fast to get the woman they have loved since she was a teenager. Only they are not as slick as they think with how they express their previous sexual relationship to her.

Tara is a strong woman but has been through hell and back. Since the day her and her mother left Slick Rock they have been struggling to survive. So it was not a huge surprise that she had a emotional/ mental breakdown. She felt so lonely, not loved out of place. So when she finds herself being consoled by two cowboys she feels safe but there is something about them but she can’t pinpoint what.

Clay and Johnny can’t believe that they finally have the woman they have loved in their arms and vow never to let her go but when her memory returns they find themselves giving her a good spanking for the cursing she is doing. They give her the pleasure they had dreamed about since the moment they realized that she had left town. Only that is not going to solve their problems and they know that she has had lived a life of hell since leaving her home town. They start to show her that she can live again and take her horse back riding and try to show her a good time. There’s only one problem when an old flame shows but at their doorstep all hell breaks loose.

Wow, I think I need to say this but this old flame is a complete crazy psycho woman that will do anything to get her men back. When Tara finds herself in a hit and run accident she thinks she is out of the woods with this woman. But think again Celia comes back and only to try to finish doing the job and confess a little secret.

This story had the same beginning as another book I read but a total different ending. Ms. Van was able to write this story with such believable characters with so much emotion and depth. She captures your attention with where Tara’s life has lead her to and you feel as if you are part of her journey in finding the one place where she knows she will be loved and she can love back. I love that she does not back down from her men and she is able to somewhat keep up her sassy attitude. She will keep them on their feet and they will love every minute of it.

Slick Rock Cowboys is an exceptionally well romance story. The love and pain that these characters share only makes them stronger, all you can do is fall in love with them. I am looking forward in reading more about this wonderful series Slick Rock.

Newly engaged, Brie Ferguson and Jonah McCarthy submerge themselves in primal temptations, but the constant reminder of Sebastian McCarthy's absence is enough to ruin even the best orgasm.
Distracted by the mating heat, Brie feels a deep longing to be with both her mates, especially her Alpha. Discovering that Sebastian's been infected with the same debilitating virus that turned Mason Levi, a convicted murder and werepanther, into an ultimate killing machine is enough to bring her to her knees.

Brie is tormented with the knowledge that the man she loves could destroy her, but the mating heat is all consuming and leaves her with little choice. Instincts drive her to once again feel the sexual heat and connection she shares with Sebastian and Jonah.

But once she learns that Sebastian holds the answers to her past, can the truth be the missing link into freeing her soul and igniting a passion so tempting Sebastian and Jonah can't resist?

Yadkny's Review

What should have been new engagement bliss, is anything but, for Brie and her mates Sebastian and Jonah. With Sebastian now on the hunt for Brie's mutant stalker and the answers to her mysterious past, Brie suffers through the pleasurable business that is the mating heat alone with Jonah. If not for his constant 'distractions' to the loneliness that plagues her by Sebastian’s absence, Brie wouldn't have survived. Jonah feels blessed to have the one-on-one opportunity to show Brie his true feelings for her. It may never happen again and he takes full advantage of every moment, but he also knows that Brie won't ever feel complete happiness until Sebastian is back with them. It is only when Sebastian returns can their life truly begin. However, the return of Brie's beloved Alpha is not a happy one. Sebastian is different and their reunion is fraught with more questions than answers. Sebastian’s behavior changes aggressively with each passing moment and his desire for Brie turns dangerous leaving Jonah to entrap his brother in order to protect Brie at all costs. Sebastian holds the answers to many questions including what happened to him and the key to stopping it, but things have gone too far and the only things on his mind now are murder, mayhem, and his mate. Brie must learn to trust instinct over self-preservation and that of both her mates wishes in order to save them all.

Emotions run high and are all over the place in this second installment to the Moonlight Shifters series. Finally there is some light shed on what exactly Brie is and what she was always meant to do, but first she must get through a bucket load of insecurities. She consistently doubts her mates intentions where she is concerned and an old flame of Jonah's returns, which leaves her wondering if she is enough for both of them. To top it off her powers are continually increasing and without thought of how to control them. After a while I found Brie to be a bit annoying and lacking that independent attorney attitude she had in the first book. However, there were plenty of intriguing secondary characters introduced that seem to be more alpha in attitude than even our main characters. Looking forward to getting to know them more as the series continues.

I should mention there is a scene of dubious consent, but it's short lived and quickly forgotten as the story moves quickly between scenes of intense sex and shocking revelations. The ending is a happy one, but incomplete as the overall arc of the storyline continues to develop. The next story is definitely a must-read since the enemy is still on the loose and a wedding still needs to be planned. For any reader looking for an erotic shifter series, this one deserves to be read.

Jane's just inherited her late uncle's estate. But there's a catch. She has to ride along in a two-week-long cattle drive or she'll forfeit the ranch and money. The city girl doesn't have a clue where to start, so she advertises for three cowboys to assist her.

Chase, Brad and Dawson are hired to drive five thousand head of cattle across the prairies of Alberta. They expect their boss to be some spoiled rich boy looking for adventure, not a stunning woman with legs to die for. She's unlike any cowgirl—complaining, cursing, and driving them nuts with her forked tongue. It'll take some tying up and rough cowboy handling to teach the little siren how to behave.

Monica's Review

Mother Nature has a way of changing a person’s life perspective. Who knew that a feisty-stubborn city girl would be corralled by three sexy cowboys.

Jane Williams is a woman that enjoyed her freedom and left out emotions whenever she dated. She thought she had the perfect life but after entering her uncle’s home she thought twice of selling it. With her uncles death she is about to inherit his wealth but that comes with a ranch and cattle to care for. There is only one stipulation she must move five thousand head of cattle to greener pastures or she loses everything to her cousin. Jane is a city girl she knows nothing of what consists of a cattle drive so next step is to hire some cowboys.

Naturally she takes the challenge and hires three cowboys to help her with her journey, Dawson Reed, Brad McCay and Chase Garner. When Jane meets Dawson she knows she is in trouble because her body is overheating. Then she meets Brad and Chase and wonders if all cowboys are this mouth watering. Jane tries her best to keep this journey business base only and not explore the bodies of these sexy cowboys.

With her belligerent attitude, she’s lucky if they don’t quit on her or even worse leave her out in the wilderness and finish the cattle drive without her. Brad knows how to talk to her and makes her feel secure, safe but he is only risking breaking his heart. Jane knows that she wants to submit to the cowboys but she finds it difficult due to choices that her parents made. Each cowboy has a reason for needing the ten thousand dollars Jane is going to pay them when the job is done but are their intentions good. Sure two cowboys need it for their families but one is a little shady. Can they make it to there destination on time or will someone try to sabotage this journey?

The pace of the story was slower at the beginning but picked up later in the story. The foursome relationship seemed a it couldn't work because they each had their own baggage. Even if they were all uncommitted it seemed that they needed to break from their families with the exception of one. Still, the four of them had great chemistry even when it seemed that they would kill each other. I liked the determination of all three cowboys and how they worked together in order for Jane to make her deadline even if it meant not getting paid. This story is more of an emotional based story rather than a sexual based. Sure Jane also needed to let go and just let them take care of her but of course that meant letting her guard down.

The story is unique and the characters are interesting. I would definitely recommend this story to readers looking for a hot ménage relationship that starts off a little on the rough side but they strive to make the relationship work.

Brandon and Bolton are brothers living in the Border Lands. Heather hides in their trailer to escape slavery, but has she traded one cage for another? The brothers are more than happy to help her out and take her home to their Border Land Farm. They work to convince her they are good guys and won’t hurt her.

Bolton knows he has fallen in love with her, but Brandon isn’t sure she sees him as more than her keeper or owner. He wants her to feel the same love she feels for his brother, so he pulls away.
It takes nearly losing her to a wolf attack for Brandon to realize he’s being childish in asking for her to treat him differently than she does his brother. She loves them both equally, and he has almost lost the best thing that ever happened to him.

Monica's Review

Love is a feeling that comes naturally but if not expressed it could cause a relationship to fail.

When Brandon and Bolton found Heather hiding in their trailer they instantly knew that she was to be treasured. Since females are scarce in the United States they know that they need to protect her with everything they have. Heather fears that they will only use her for sex and see her as nothing else.

Bolton will have to fight with all his heart in order for all three of them to become a family. Bolton is such a sweet, caring loving man that will give his life for Heather. Now Brandon is a different story. I did not like him in the beginning of the story he seemed so uptight and cruel. He could not express his feelings and had a hard time forgiving and for that, Heather and he drifted apart. All Heather wanted was for Brandon to hold her, caress her, kiss her but he was just a hard-headed jerk.

I must admit that I liked the characters Bolton and Heather together without Brandon. They completed each other but no matter what I understood that Heather would never be happy if Brandon did not join them. Brandon was such a jerk to Heather; he treated her like a whore but no matter what Heather tried to please him in every way possible. A woman does not like to feel as a possession they want to be treated as a person, a human-being and feel loved.

I truly love reading books of Marla Monroe. She is a very creativity author. Belonging to Them is an enjoyable read of a typical ménage romance with a bit of a bumpy ride. I finally came around for Brandon when he finally professed his love to Heather and asked for forgiveness. Get your copy today and enjoy the new series by Marla Monroe, Men of the Border Lands.
