Clare's Review
This book picks up where book one ends. It focuses on Geoffrey and the part he plays in the war. Two women play a large part – Celestia, who is not all she seems, and Jenanna, an exil from her own land. War is on Arnhem’s doorstep, yet Queen Aislinn sends Geoffrey on a mission seemingly unconnected to it. It’s not long before he finds himself caught up in battle for Queen, country and for love itself.
An engaging read, with many battle scenes, this book is sure to grab your attention and plunge you into a country where alliances must be formed where even trust is a rare commodity.
