Ever since her divorce, successful Event Planner Maddy Glover dreads visiting her hometown. For the first time in three years, she returns home for the holidays and finds herself caught at the end of an avalanche. Only to be rescued by the one man she’s determined to avoid: her ex-husband.

Ambitious and desirable Cole Harmon lives to rebuild the town and to forget the woman who hadn’t believed he had enough to offer her—until Maddy shows up in her cute city-slicker attire and sexy black boots. In need of a decorator for the holidays, he hires his ex-wife to help, only to be thrown into dark buried memories and snowy encounters that may thaw the ice between them. Will their love rekindle or will Maddy walk away once again?

Hunter's Review

Clarissa Yip does what so few authors do these days—she finds a contemporary, non-paranormal, non-fantasy story and she makes it so strong, so loving, so captivating that I remember what it is that I used to love about contemporary romance.

Here’s the thing about Maddy and Cole—they are both really, really nice people. The kind of people you might actually know in your life. The kind of people who have gotten caught up in what they haven’t said to each other and who have made up truths in their own minds based on misunderstandings. Sometimes you want to shake them but this is what makes it so ‘real.’ They are flawed, wonderful people who you root for.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves real romances, who loves Christmas, and who wants a feel good read that is going to make you believe in love again.

Sounds like an excellent book to curl up with on a snowy day.
