Shamed by secrets, Anne Meredith will do anything to fulfill her marriage contract to a mysterious Bavarian count. Even if it means submitting to Axel von Sommerhalder, the handsome stranger the count has enlisted to train her. She thinks the intimate punishments her trainer metes out will be a humiliating ordeal. Instead, as she finds herself surrendering to the dominant desires of a man forbidden to claim her, she discovers even more about herself than she ever dreamed possible.

Axel demands that his novice abandon every inhibition. But in doing so, they both embark on a dangerous journey, tempting each other’s flesh, relishing every forbidden touch—and breaking every rule.

Lorien's Review

Twice the Novice by Debra Glass is a fantastic historical romance with the context of erotic bondage and dominance. The romantic element came through in a well developed storyline, along with likeable characters and deliciously hot sex scenes.

Engaged to a wealthy man she had never met, Anne Meredith must submit and pass the training in order to marry the Bavarian count. With no choice but to comply, Anne gets more than what she agrees to with the count’s handsome nephew and trainer, Axel von Sommerhalder.

Right from the beginning, the characters captured my attention and pulled me into their exciting world. When these two come together, the chemistry and sexual tension exudes right off the bat. I loved Anne’s passion to please and Axel’s strength to risk everything for love regardless of the consequences for violating a novice.

Debra Glass is an amazing author when it comes to incorporating the mixture of eroticism and romance. This is definitely one of those books you will want to read over and over again.
