Taken by Surprise is a great story about what a person will sacrifice in order to keep the people they love out of harms way. The only thing is— it's a little difficult when you are in law enforcement because no matter what you do, your line of work will always have an impact in your life. Embrace your life day by day and enjoy the people that are in your life for as long as you may have with them.

Michael is a scrumptious, handsome man that is a DEA agent with a drug lord after him. Michael takes matters in his own hands and decides that there is only one thing that he knows he needs to do and that means leave the person he loves be. I understand that some authority figures seem domineering but they also have to realize that the other person has a right to live their life as they wish even if that means letting go just a little. The setting of this story takes place in a forest in Cambodia imagine running for your life in the dark forest not being able to see what is behind you or even in front of you is frightening. The best part of the dark forest is having a strong, sexy man there to protect the one person they love with those strong hands that might just wonder to forbidden places. Those sexy hands can make someone just forget that they are running away from danger.

Rhonda is a person that has been attracted to Michael for some time but fear is a horrible feeling but after her some what adventure through the forest and then back home her heart has been taken by this sexy man. Rhonda is a woman that is strong willed and is willing to sacrifice her own life to be able to have the life she has dreamed of with the one person that she loves.

This story draws you in with the action, suspense and the passionate feelings that the two characters have. Taken by Surprise is definitely one of my amazing reads and recommend this story for anyone that loves to read suspenseful romantic stories.
