This story turned me upside down the way a passionate, mysterious, sensual book should, and captured my mind from beginning to end. Just the way that Cole protected his mate in the forest when she could not see him from her apartment. How romantic but then again a little creepy knowing someone is watching you and you have no idea why. Cole was willing to leave Chloe for safety measures. How sweet but there are times that that can go a different path if not careful because some woman want to be able to make their own choices not have some made for them.
Chloe is a newly turned werewolf that is oblivious of the amount of danger that lurks around in every corner but most of all the amount of passion a “were” can feel towards their mate. Chloe's character is caring, loving and will do anything in order to be able to keep the people she loves safe, but soon will find out that there is something more powerful that is out of her control. She decides to take a major step in trying to pursue this new relationship but danger is something that she decides to take upon herself.

Cole is a strong, handsome, sexy guardian that is out to protect humans and his own kind. He has this strong character that in the beginning it seems he has no compassion for his soon-to-be mate but deep down inside his future has been drawn for him no matter what. Cole can be a jerk in this story because he tries so hard to hide is true feelings from Chloe but this can also be dangerous for him at the end. The one thing that is true is that the truth will eventually come out so why not start a new relationship with no insecurities.

Not only does this story have obstacles in their newly found relationship but will Cole and Chloe be able to finally be able to build a great future? This story has everything from conflict, passion, a handsome powerful guardian that any person would be able to lose their mind into this amazing book.
