Review: The Genie of the Portrait by Misty Burke

The Genie of the Portrait by Misty Burke

Publisher: Evernight Publishing
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Heat Rating: 2

Three nights of pleasure…will it be enough?

Amanda had always been forgiving, until the night of her engagement. It was at that moment, when she found her fiancé banging the waitress in the bathroom, that she changed. Never again. Men were not going to use her ever again.

So when she found William’s portrait and learned that his sole purpose for existing was to please her, an electrifying relationship resulted. Her genie offered her three nights of pleasure. And Amanda quickly realized she wanted more.

LynnMarie's Review

The Genie of the Portrait is an erotic version of an old classic. Amanda's character really made the story shine. She's so likeable and easy to relate to, and her inner dialogue is laugh out loud funny at times. After a messy break-up with her fiancé, she discovers a portrait that contains one very sexy genie.

Nothing seems strange with Amanda's acceptance of William, from his presence to his willingness to fulfill all her sexual fantasies because she thinks it's all part of an alcohol induced delusion.

When she discovers the truth, she knows she will do anything to keep her lover from returning to the portrait forever. Once she gets a taste of love, happiness and affection, she refuses to give it up.

This was a well rounded, quick read. For a short story it packs a satisfying punch. Paranormal and fantasy romance lovers will enjoy this little escape. There is a cute twist at the end which is just the icing on this delicious cake!

I don't drink but if the results is a sexy genie I'm heading out to buy some Jack Daniels.
