Life for Naia Vincenza is about to change. A mysterious alien, Dasyra, whisks her away with the promise of a life of pampered luxury. For a price.

Naia must undertake the mysterious and carnal rite of the reinya. She has to prove she should be chosen, that she is worthy of the role. And to do that, she must enter the maze and find the creature at its heart. But nothing is ever simple and the price Naia must pay pushes her mind and her body to the very edge of pleasure…and beyond.

Hunter's Review

This is a very good, albeit sometimes confusing short story by Kim Knox, whose work I admire very much. Naia is sent into a maze, after being given the choice to back out, and if she makes it through what she has to go through she will be changed and her life will be better.

The journey she takes into the maze turns out to be a sensual one and it is incredible to read. Some of the story was slightly more thick in the science fiction language than I liked but ultimately I really enjoyed reading this book.
