Four soldiers face alien threats in these two erotic tales of explosive romance.

Detonate: Alice MacKay can't keep up with all the bomb threats in Trios Port. When Boomer, a former Terran Marine with more than a healthy dose of arrogance, strolls into her office for an interview, she can't get rid of him fast enough. But disarming bombs is easier than disarming amorous Marines. When Boomer decides to stick around, MacKay wonders if she's met her match.

Happy Trails: Jenna's been infatuated with Tyson Rivers since she boarded the mining ship, but the scoop's explosive ordnance officer doesn't seem to know she's there. Too shy to introduce herself, she decides to snoop in his personnel file instead. When Tyson catches her digging, he realizes he's not the only one feeling the attraction, but could his tactics to get her alone end with a bigger bang than he expected?

Dodie's Review

Both stories are set in the not too distant future. Far enough that interplanetary travel is normal, and for there to be intelligent interacting life on many planets as well, but not so far in the future that the technology is difficult to grasp. Detonate focuses on Boomer and Alice MacKay. MacKay is a strong, independent, stubborn woman. No wimpy heroines here. Boomer is the perfect foil for her. He refuses to fall for her bluster and strong front, and sees straight through to her softer side. But that sword has two edges. MacKay brings out the softer side of Boomer as well. Instead of being the story of two alpha personalities fighting each other constantly, they bring out the softer side of their other half. The sex scenes between the two really steam the windows also. DL Jackson does a great job of setting their powerful romance in the midst of a dangerous intrigue that really keeps you on the edge of your seat.

In Happy Trails, Jenna and Tyson are both stuck on opposite sides of not quite having enough nerve to
reveal that their attracted to each other. Tyson hasn't been willing to say something to Jenna in public, and on a small spaceship he hasn't had a chance to get her alone. So when the chance arises, he takes full advantage of the situation. Their romance quickly heats up and results in some smexy scenes, but the fun doesn't stop there. There is, of course, a thrilling adrenaline laced plot full of chasing and getting the bad guys.

I thoroughly enjoyed both stories in Blown Away. If you like futuristic romances, military romance, hot and steamy love stories, or any other kind of book, there is something here for you. You will enjoy the ride.
