Alana wakes to find herself handcuffed to an old bed in a hunting cabin in the middle of nowhere. After six years of being held against her will and subjected to horrifying experiments she's learned to deal with almost anything.
Gabe and Rafe, twin brothers working as special agents, have been given an unusual assignment. Locate and rescue a woman who was handcuffed to a bed three days ago. When they get there she is not only exhausted and injured but also completely pissed off and telekinetic.
Alana has spent many years using the only currency she had to make her life better in captivity—her body. But, despite the attraction and rampant arousal she can sense coming from both men, they both turn her down time and time again.
But Gabe and Rafe want more. Can they convince Alana they want her love as well as her body?
Wendy's Review
I love that the Altered Destinies can be read alone. I had no trouble knowing what was going on in the story Hidden.
This story brings you into the world of telekinetic Alana who was rescued by her brother but she didn't realize this because of his cover. All she knew was she was chained in a cabin and hurting and wanting to get out.
When twins Gabe and Rafe are called to get Alana out of the cabin they didn't expect to find their woman. Alana was supposed to be an assignment but she turned out to be their true love. Alana learned to expect the worse in people and didn't realize that there were people who truly wanted to help her for no reason then they were decent.
Going on the run with Gabe and Rafe brought her to a world where she could actually relax and let her gifts come to the surface. Not only does she have telekinetic ability she also is telepathic and knows exactly how Rafe and Gabe feel. As running brings them closer they embark on discovering how well they are in all situations especially in bed.
This book has everything from mystery to romance with a little of suspense written into it. A great short story.
