Blurb

Recently widowed and looking to mend her broken heart, attorney Heather Grant, and her two young sons move back to her hometown of Cedar Point. The last thing she expects is to fall for a mysterious and dangerously good-looking mechanic with a devilish smile and six-pack abs. The only thing hockey star, Cooper Gerhardt wanted was a year to heal his injuries, the chance to have a regular job and some semblance of a normal life.

That is until he came to the aid of Heather. He finds himself fighting to resist her drop-dead gorgeous, sinful body and touch of vulnerability. They both have pasts filled with pain and regret. Can they learn to trust and love again—or will they let the past destroy their second chance for happiness?

Wendy's Review

Linda brought a book that is refreshing and brings the heart of writing to her story. The characters had real life problems that people face daily and she brings it to head. The insecurities and past hurts of Cooper and Heather has you reaching for the tissue and wanting more for them both.

The drama keeps you interested in the story to the last word in the last paragraph. Even though it is set in the winter the heat builds and causes you forgetting the cold. The temperature in their love scenes brings the heat into your heart and sole.

Heather is a strong woman who is proud of her life and how it turned out. She could have wallowed in pity of losing her husband and being the cause of talk but coming home is where her heart is.

Cooper is a hockey player for the Detroit Red Wings and moves to Cedar Point to closer to his team. His relationships are usually torturous and he didn’t want to get involved with Heather and her hang ups. But as the story unfolds life has a way of bringing people together and love blooms like a flower in the cold winter months.

It was enjoyable and gave you a since of love being there after all the hurt of the world.
