Jamie walked away from her love for Wyatt for the sake of his career as a physician even though she carried his child. When she runs into him at the local emergency room, she can’t believe her eyes, but her heart knows she never stopped loving him. Can she let him back into her life for the sake of their daughter?

Wyatt knew he would return to Laramie when he finally finished school. He never stopped loving Jamie, but she pushed him away and insisted she didn’t love him. He wasn’t sure he could forgive her for shutting him out of their daughter’s life. When they come face-to-face again, he can’t walk away, not from Jamie nor from his daughter.

Will they be able to get past the disappointments and tears to rekindle their love or will old hurts kill the feelings that still linger in their hearts?

Lena’s Review

How far would you go to protect the man you love from being another statistic in life? Jamie knew when she told Wyatt, that she didn’t love him, it was all a lie. Nine years have passed and she still loves Wyatt ,and see’s him every day in her child. Little Samantha is all Wyatt and it scares Jamie every day. Wyatt was her whole life, but she didn’t want to pull him down by being a father with a pregnant girl so young. She wanted the best for him and still does. Yet seeing him again brings back all the passion they used to share and the love she denied years ago. Jamie knows her family hates him, but she still loves him desperately. Seeing him with Samantha makes her realize that her love for him is still real and growing each day. Can she get Wyatt to fall in love with her again?

Wyatt has never forgotten about his first true love. Jamie Wilder is the one woman for him and still is. She caught his attention by her sexy dimples and now as a grown woman has captured his heart all over again. He never believed for one minute that she didn’t love him. Now nine years later he is determined to make her see they belong together, and little Samantha. Wyatt wants, now more than ever, to have Jamie and Samantha, but she keeps denying the love is still there. Years ago he did everything Jamie told him to do, including leaving, but this time he has a say about many things in her life, involving their love. Can Wyatt prove to Jamie that their love is still there and stronger than ever?

It’s so sad to see a series end, but this one was bittersweet by Sandy Sullivan. Through all the Wilder books, we saw a little of Jamie Wilder, and now her story is revealed. It broke my heart to see such a young girl sacrifice her own love for a man who has so much potential like Wyatt. These two were so in love, yet Jamie was courageous through everything. Little Samantha was a cute little nine year old doing what every little child with one parent does-matchmaking. You can tell right off that Jamie and Wyatt are still desperately in love. I loved seeing all her brothers gang up on Wyatt…poor guy. Sandy did a beautiful job in ending this series, but I hope there might be more of this series or her gorgeous cowboys. Awesome job once again, Sandy.
