Josephine McDonough loved a vampire once. But he left her. Now she’s set to marry someone else. Someone who will remain true to her. Alaric, her vampire ex-lover, is not about to allow that to happen. He needs her. He loves her. She is also the key to him getting something he dearly wants - Maverick House – it is his birthright.

Alaric crashes her wedding and takes Josephine back to Maverick House. While she loves Alaric, how does she know he will be faithful and not leave her again? When she finds out that he needs her to obtain the house, she is furious. Does Alaric love her at all? And then there’s his cousin Richard. Josephine doesn’t love him, but she lusts after him. He answers the dark, sexual cravings of her soul.

Does Josephine stay or go? And does she have any say it in at all? Maverick House rules their destiny.

LynnMarie’s Review

Josephine is an average woman trying to survive in the world, until she meets Alaric by accident. He pulls her into his world of sex and blood and she willingly goes along for the ride. When he disappears on her, months later, she’s devastated and forced to move on with her life without him. He returns on her wedding day, insisting that she’s marrying the wrong man. She wants to believe that the vampire loves her, but she’s doubtful.

Though the plot itself is weak, centering on the Maverick house that we learn little about, the characters were fun and distinct. The love/hate relationship between all the characters was humorous and sexy.

The second ‘lust’ interest, Richard, would make a great character for a sequel. He is sexy, dominant and takes what he wants…including Josephine a few times. I loved the scene where he leaves her high and dry.

If you like a light, sexy read with paranormal elements and an uninhibited heroine, The Vampire’s Bride may be just for you.
