Monica’s Review

Defending Glory by Anne K. Albert is an interesting book, something I would not usually read but this book seemed interesting in a way that religion had some pull in this story. The other point that drew me to read this book was that it had to do with human trafficking. This is something that not every many people can believe can be happening in their surroundings. This is something that I am naïve in because to me how can a person treat other people so carelessly? They are humans with feelings and families just like anyone else. This is somewhat of a sore subject that is something you would seek someone up above and seek guidance but also if you also have issues within your own personal life.

Glory is new in town and wants to help a small town in opening a retreat for people that have had bad experiences in life and are ready to come back and start living again. Glory has a huge heart and wants to be able to reach out to her religion and help wherever possible. Glory is strong and will not give up but there is just so much a person can take from people that want to harm her. I love how this character, Glory, was writing with so much strength, power and a go get them attitude. This is something that I believe should be in everyone that we make contact with it just makes you want to smile and strive for the best. Mac is a person that will not let her finally want to give up her dreams and will give her the strength to keep going. Mac has his own issues in life that he needs to overcome and once he does that he can except not only God but a person that he can love and will love him for him.

Defending Glory by Anne K. Albert is an inspirational book that no matter what situation you may be in remember there is always someone watching you and they will never let you down no matter how much you want to give up.
