Eight years ago Lily Swanson left Havashaw County with a broken heart. Now circumstances have brought her back to the cowboy who still drives her crazy. Seeing him again stirs erotic memories, but the pain of his betrayal refuses to be soothed with a sexy smile.

Lily left him. That inescapable fact drives Thor Hanson to succeed more than any other. Her return to Havashaw triggers anger, lust and regret, but when she reveals the truth behind her leaving, he's determined to rein her in and show her that what they have is more than a memory.

Neither can deny their passion, as untamable as the broncs Thor trains. But will it be enough, and can Thor convince Lily she's right where she belongs?

Yadkny's Review

You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the cowboy she left behind out of the girl’s heart.

A misunderstanding and deliberate mislead broke two young lovers apart. Now all Lily wants is to forget the cowboy who broke her heart and all Thor wants is to forget the fiery redhead who left him when he needed her most.

Eight years after going their separate ways, Lily and Thor find themselves face to face once again. All of the old feelings that lay dormant are fiercely brought back to the surface, but the memories of their last moments together ultimately bring the walls back up between them. Their physical attraction to each other only increases upon sight of the more grown up bodies they now possess yet emotionally they are still the teens they used to be. Confusing and frustrating they find themselves not being able to stay away from each other and worse they still care.

Ms. Dale wrote a very hot contemporary cowboy tale of young love and loss. Both characters are stubborn and passionate, so they stand on equal footing in that regard which makes them a perfect match. Thor's nickname for Lily only made me fall for him more and he proves that for some men their true feelings speak from their actions not words.

The story charges right out of the bucking shoot and keeps a nice pace throughout with just enough detailing to get the readers imagination going. Once you start, you'll find this intense and incredibly sexy read hard to put down, but beware it'll leave you wanting to go find a cowboy of your own!
