Lyndi Crisdean is assigned one of the hardest cases in her career as a defense attorney. A serial murder case. Investigating is Alek Trevian, the lead investigator for the district attorney, and a handsome and supremely dangerous man. Lyndi finds herself in over her head when she chooses desire for Alek over common sense. If they're caught, Lyndi will lose everything she's worked for. Circumstances beyond her control pull her toward Alek, for he turns out to be the only one who can help when threats start to mount against her.

Lyndi may be the key Alek needs to bring down a murderous cult running loose in his city. When her beach house is broken into and a man begins to tail Lyndi, Alek can't help but reason Lyndi may be next on the cult's hitlist. The question is, will he discover the identity of the cult, keep her safe, and still win the case against the serial killer she's defending, all while losing a battle against the strong, untamable desire she alone ignites within him?

Monica's Review

Forbidden Passion when it is forbidden draws to it more until you are not able to stand it any longer and you give in no matter the consequences...

This is actually the first book that I read by Elaina Lee and I have to say that I will be on the look out of more of her books. I loved her characters in this book and the hurdles that had to be made in order for the forbidden fruit to be devoured. Ms. Lee shows tender and heartwarming moments in the book that will have you searching for Kleenex. The amount of passion that is written in the book will have you squirming in your seat and feeling warm and tingly all over.

Lyndi is an exceptional character in this book; she is strong, independent and sharp minded. I admired her character on how she was able to handle conflict in not only personal life but her career. Lyndi is a very passionate person that deserves to be happy with the one person that is forbidden, she deserves it after the hell so goes through with her stalker. The flirtatious acts will soon catch up to her when she finally realizes who the true Alek is. Will she be able to handle his dark side? Just to give you a little enticement if a sex club does not scare her away, what could?

Alek is a dark, mysterious young man that has one priority in his mind and that is work. Soon after his encounter with Lyndi and the passionate kiss they share he finds himself drawn to her and unable to let her be. There is something about him from the very beginning of the book that just drew me in. Something about the way he is with Lyndi is just memorizing. It's like you are literally in the book and you just feel compelled to do anything he says and basically say "yes, Master whatever you want". Alek is someone that you would try to avoid eye contact with because once you look into his eyes you are hooked. After learning what he went through along with a loved one I feel in love with his character even more because he actually began to trust someone and opened his heart. The only question—is he going to regret that action, “Trust”?

If you want a story that you captivate you from beginning to end with suspense, desperation and love all mixed in one, this is the book for you. You will not regret reading this book, not for one minute. Consider me hooked to this book because I could read it again.

Wow Monica, thank you so much for this amazing review! My husband found it last night (I'm about to murder Google Alerts!) and hid his iPhone from me while he read the review as slow as humanly possible. When he reached the end I squealed in delight and kicked the mattress. What a way to end the day! *hugs*
