There are things in this world that defy explanation and Tambra’s new existence is one of them. Her mundane life as a beat cop just got a whole lot scarier with the reveal a paranormal reality. The challenge in acceptance is met with the demands of attraction to a mysterious vampire who has the power to end the loneliness in her life. Unfortunately, power is up for grabs and Tambra is the key to its claim.
The demanding life of an Enforcer is a responsibility that Marcus does not take lightly. He lives to enforce Tribunal law and hunt down the Breeds that have gone feral, so as not to alert humans of their existence. Saving Tambra may just prove to be more than he can handle, as he is unprepared for the instinctual feelings she elicits. Bad timing just took on a whole new meaning.
The first in a new series by Ms. Albright has left me wanting more. This story is action-packed with a swift pacing that ensures enthralled attention. The world building seems to be slightly complex with many of its facets left to be revealed throughout the series. The hero and heroine are dominant characters with passionate natures that are reflected in both duty and intimacy. There are also many secondary characters with their own storylines left to be explored for future installments.
Fans of paranormal romance should absolutely check out this short tale of love, lust, revelation, and revenge.
