Blurb

Alpha female of both the werewolf and vampire species Josephine Wade has a problem--two, actually. The first is Etienne Bordeaux, her former vampire lover she hopes to seduce again. The second is her estranged Alpha werewolf mate, Braxton Wade, who wants to show her that she may be dominant, but he’s even more so, especially with her under him and his teeth marking her. Both powerful males want her back, but only one can have her heart, body and soul.

As Josephine tries to control the situation between her former lover and her husband, her world begins to unravel. What was once the truth is now fiction, and what was fiction is now truth. Only she can be the one to unite both truth and fiction to save those closest to her and take her place beside her true mate in both the werewolf and vampire worlds.

Yadkny's Review

Deep in the heart of southern plantation swampland is Josephine “Josie” Wade the only known living vamp and were hybrid. She has two different beasts to contend with on a daily basis and sometimes they want different things. Harnessing the inner-power of both a vamp by the name of Batty and a were by the name of Wolfy, is a lot harder than it seems. Match that with Josie's own unique personality and any given situation can turn volatile very quickly. Now after so many years of silently dealing with two different heartbreaks, Josie’s two former lovers show up unexpectedly and are about to turn her peaceful existence upside down. That isn’t the only thing headed her way either. Old enemies reemerge and new ones are revealed that will have Josie and her beasts testing the limits of her own power and control.

Betrayal, scandal, revenge, and redemption are just some of the elements added to this uniquely flavored story that will engage any paranormal reader. Add to it some outrageous characters, steamy erotic encounters, a storyline with the right amount of suspense and mystery, and there isn't much else needed.

Nobody said being the HBIC (Head Bitch In Charge) was going to be easy, but it does come with a few perks. Josie's character has the best of both the vampire and were worlds, so she has all of the benefits from both and so far none of their weaknesses. Physical beauty aside Josie is very dominant and because of her dual nature, she's enticing to both species. Braxton proves very well how Alpha he is and his passionate aggressiveness in the bedroom is unmatched. Etienne is seductively charming and his longstanding relationship with Josie is problematic to say the least, but his quest to return to her is undeterred. Josie's best friend Cam and her sire Grayson offer both dramatic flare and comic relief while keeping Josie grounded and focused. The rising case of other secondary characters leave much to look forward to in the next installment.

Due to the initial slow unfolding of this supernatural world, there were moments where I felt either a bit lost or confused. Some of the facts weren't readily known until they became useful to the plot. This became a bit problematic when trying to initially figure out these unparalleled characters and some of there extreme behavior. At times the dialogue was a little disjointed and some of the scene changes lacked fluidity, but overall I still found myself immensely enjoying the story. By the end, Ms. Grace wrapped it up quite nicely while giving the reader's just enough to stay hungry for more.

Lot's of unanswered questions and a new adventure await Josie as she starts a new life and I will definitely be back for more.
