Survival…that’s all Julia was hoping for when she set off alone. The EMP left nothing working, and civilization crumbled rapidly. Her plan to flee to safety failed and she lay dying when Arden found her. He brought her home and saved her life.

Julia has no choice but to wait out the winter with sweet, sexy Arden and his seductive best friend, Ben. She tries to ignore the sexual tension and constant temptation of living with the men, but eventually she gives in to each man’s seduction. When both men come to the realization that they are in love with Julia, their lifelong friendship prevents them from competing for her. So, a deal is struck between them. She will accept and love them together, or not at all.

Monica's Review

When the world as you’ve known no longer exist all you can hope for is security and a sense of hope. What else is there when all electrical components no longer exist, also known as EMP, and you have to find a way to adapted to a new way of life. Imagine no running water, no electricity that means no toilets no air conditioning doesn’t that sound like fun, yeah just lovely. We have become to rely on modern conveniences but what would we do if all that halted tomorrow, next week, a month from now you get the picture.

Julia had conversed with her brother what to expect if EMP crippled the world and a plan was developed. She thought she had things under control but when that day came, she came crumbling down and found her self in an unforeseen circumstance. She lay on the ground ready to die, there was so much violence happening around her that she had to stay hidden and that caused her to lose her strength because she could not seek more water or food. She was on the verge of dehydration and starvation but she seemed to have no more strength left to keep moving forward. She welcomed her death.

Saved by one handsome stranger was the best that could have happened to Julia. Arden saved her from the verge of death and did his best to aide her recovery from injuries. A feeling overcame him, a feeling to care for her to protect her. When Julia recovered he made sure that she felt welcomed and opened his home to her. As time passed they both felt attracted to each other but no one made a move, they each thought they were overreacting. When Arden’s best friend shows up to the farm the sexual tension seemed to rise between the three characters. Julia felt torn between Arden and Ben because she started having emotional feelings for Ben from the moment she laid eyes on him. Julia sets her mind to be neutral with both men because she believes that they will become jealous of each other if she acts on her feelings and that would case a friendship to break. Julia’s philosophy is that men are only after one thing sex and believes that they could not love her would only think of her as a sex toy. When she finally explores the feeling of four hands touching her, pleasuring her she allows herself to be shared by two handsome men.

After living through 9/11 it seems that anything is possible. Sylvia Ryan takes a reality of what could happen and brings it to life and lets us read of the possibilities. This story touches on everything from killings, theft, starvation a sense of survival, what some people would do to survive. The characters timeline was perfect. Julia and Arden were able to get to know each other well before Ben came into the picture. The she got to know Ben the same way as Arden and their relationship blossomed.

This was a great ménage story given the circumstances. Read how truly Julia was saved by one but shared by two and how their lives changed forever with an amazing happily ever after.
