Myra, a medieval virgin druidess, flees five hundred years into the future to escape death at the hands of a cursed witch and lands in the arms of a handsome but cynical twenty-first century cop.
Officer Todd Blakely knows Myra is hiding something , but can't resist her innocent charms. Destiny throws them both into a world of intrigue and mysticism. Can Todd be the true white knight she needs? Or will magic and the winds of time tear them apart?
Clare’s Review
When Todd is assigned yet another Jane Doe case, he doesn’t expect to find Myra, who is so obviously lying about her amnesia. Let alone want to believe the fanciful tale she tells him in bits and pieces.
Silent Vows is face paced and unputdownable. Told from several points of view, it adds rather than distracts from the tension. Myra’s experience of the 21st Century is wonderfully written, right down to never have experienced TV or burgers or hot showers. Filled with action—sword fights, gun fights, protective fathers and brothers, as well as a hero and heroine who literally sacrifice the world for each other, this gripping love story proves that not even time can keep soul mates apart.
A sequel to Binding Vows, but easily read and understandable if you’ve not read the first one, the book ends on a cliff hanger, literally leaving you wanting more. Definitely one to read.
