OMG, what can I say about this book, Sweet Salvation by Nicole Morgan other than it is amazing. The amount of emotional, physical pain that is portrayed in this book is so detailed that it makes your stomach ache. Morgan was so specific on the writing of the suffering that Shelby endured in this book. After reading Sweet Redemption I wondered what happened to two of the characters of the book, Rex and Shelby. I am so glad that Morgan decided to share their story.
Shelby was an amazing, strong woman that I cannot believe how she was able to survive the amount of pain she suffered since her childhood until her adulthood. She is a brave woman that I admired. Shelby was able to love a man no matter how bad she hurt after her physical and emotional turmoil. How she was able to show Rex that she was able to be intimate with him and was able to love him not matter what happened in the past. Yes, she did do a lot of crying but you know what that is the best remedy in order to start healing from that kind of turmoil. The amazing passion that she showed Rex was steamy and mouth watering in how she was able to taunt him and just devour him was amazing.
Rex was your dominate ex-Navy Seal that fell in love but really did not know it. Sometimes it just comes out of nowhere, to find out that you are in love with your best friend, but it can ruin your friendship if both of you are not in love with each other. Rex was so passionate, a big teddy bear that you just wanted to squeeze and not let go. I never thought that I would read and believe that this amazing man could cry but that did happen especially if you really believe you might lose the person that you love.
This story has everything that a story should have—romance, a crazy maniac, a hero and loving friends that help them through thick and thin, mystery, and suspense. This is a must read story that is fantastic and so worth reading. You will enjoy it from beginning to end. The bond between Rex and Shelby is mesmerizing due to the amount of time that they spent together during her traumatizing life.
