For fifteen years Luke Moore has lived by three rules: stay off his father's radar, never spend more than a single night with any man, and never fall in love again. But one night of explosive sex and two men whom he can’t get out of his head have Luke breaking them all. Richard and Matthew push him past all his boundaries—both sexually and personally—and now he’s no longer hiding from his senator father; he’s taking him on. And he isn’t just falling for one man; he’s falling for two. If you're going to break the rules, might as well break them big.

But Luke’s father has his reasons for hating how his son lives, and he’ll do whatever he can and use all his power to keep Luke away from Richard and Matthew.

Can this threesome find a way to make their unconventional relationship last with the world around them trying to pull them apart? And will Luke be able to keep breaking his rules for Richard and Matthew, or will he head back to his familiar way of life just when his new lovers want to bind him tighter?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Male/male sexual practices, menage (m/m/m).

Ren's Review

When I first started reading this, I wasn’t too sure where it was going. The main character, Luke, seemed angry and not very likeable. He walks into a bar with one agenda and one agenda only: empty and meaningless sex.

He meets up with Richard and Matthew and then they decide to do the do, without realizing that they are forging a connection that is hard to let go.

What I thought was going to be strictly a sex-romp between three men, turned into something more, sorry about the play on the title.

Luke and his father have a nasty history together. His father is one of those anti-gay hate-monger politicians who makes no bones about it. Luke wants to live his life on his own terms but his father has other ideas. On a side note I am at the knowledge that there are people that act like this and worse.

The relationship between the three men develops naturally and believable in that it could possibly work in real life. Richard is older, more experienced and provides the voice of reason and logic. Matthew is the innocent young one. You can’t help but to fall in love him. One doesn’t over shadow the other, each man brings something to the table.

Oh and the fact that there is plenty of hot, hot, HOT sex helps as well. You can never go wrong with that.

Apparently this is Ms. Parker’s first book and I am very impressed with it. If you want a hot ménage love story that is suspenseful as well as intriguing, this is the book for you.

Professor Winthrop sees the house and position swap as the perfect opportunity to finish his treatise on the Reconstruction. He’ll have to teach history at a boarding school for privileged bumpkins from the plantations, but he’ll also be able to immerse himself in his research.
An additional boon for Dr. Winthrop is the fact that Miss Davillier has left her elder sister to work for him. When he arrives at the New Orleans address, he meets Miss Dorothy Rose Davillier, by no means the spinster he was expecting: dark hair slicked to her skull, stockings rolled down, a cigarette in one hand and a trumpet in the other.

Dot is sure she can teach a thing or two about life to the stuffy prof. He seems to have no soul, and she knows just how to fix that. She begins pulling him along to hear the music of the city. As she teaches him, she also helps with his research and feeds him the food of the South. She is free with her favors, and as Winthrop learns to love the feel of her body, Dot realizes that she can learn about love from the older man.
Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, BDSM theme and content.

Dodie's Review

Imagine hot steamy New Orleans, prohibition era New Orleans, with a flapper born to the city, and who knows well its pleasures. Professor Winthrop walks into his swapped house and meets Dorothy Davillier, the aforementioned Flapper. She begins her campaign to make the Professor less ... well ... less professorial. She feels that he is too stuffy and reserved, and treats him to the best that New Orleans has to offer, to loosen him up. What she didn't imagine is that underneath the stuffy exterior is an impassioned BDSM master.

G.G. Royale did an excellent job describing New Orleans and the Prohibition Era. Certain parts of Dot's and Winnie's relationship are underdeveloped and flat, but the characters themselves are fully formed. The master – slave relationship appears to be crucial to Winnie, and is obviously a large part of his approach relationships. Dot doesn't have any experience with this lifestyle and almost unbelievably accepts this aspect of Winnie's personality without any difficulty. There is a fair amount of conflict between Dot and Winnie, which is smoothed over without explanation. That being said, the ending of the story is everything you want it to be, and you're happy to see Dot and Winnie reach their happily ever after.

Savannah is looking at entering college as a virgin. After getting her heart shattered by one of the high school’s notorious playboys, she turns to her best friend, Thorn, and implores him to help her solve the tiny problem of her virginity.

What she doesn’t know is Thorn has been in love with her since the second he laid eyes on her, and asking him to touch what he can’t have is nothing less than torture. After succumbing to her advances, Thorn makes it his mission to convey everything he hasn’t been able to put into words into touch, hoping Savannah will feel in his hands and mouth what she has never seen in his eyes.

LynnMarie’s Review

Firsts is a fitting title for this contemporary romance. Savannah doesn’t want to enter college as a virgin, and she wants her first time to be with someone she trusts, and feels safe with. The perfect choice, in her opinion, is her best friend, Wesley, aka Thorn. When she explains her proposition, Thorn refuses her, claiming sex changes friendships, and he doesn’t want them to lose what they have. Little does she know, her best friend has been in love with her since they were kids.

Savannah is young and inexperienced. Though she jumps into the prospect of losing her virginity with Thorn, she soon realizes it’s much bigger than just sex. She has feelings for him, and when she begins to look at him as a potential sexual object, she becomes aware just how masculine and stunning her buddy has become.

Thorn, with his sexy English accent, is a gentleman and never pushes Savannah to do anything she isn’t comfortable with. Though he knows it will break his heart to be intimate with his friend, and then play like nothing happened, it’s too tempting to refuse. Will what they share together be a highschool fling or become much more? Does sex really change everything?

This was a cute story about two friends discovering themselves and love. The sex scenes are hot, with a humorous edge. Thorn is every woman’s dream man. The ending and epilogue were perfect after the frustration of dealing with two characters that had no clue the other had feelings for them. For a sweet and sexy romance about first times and first love, give Firsts by Rosalie Stanton a read!

Blurb

Arianna is a demon hunter who isolates herself from society. Over the past few months she has become increasingly dependent on her uncertain alliance with Kade, a vampire informant who literally stepped out of the shadows and into her life.

On the night of a rumored attack from a group of demons, called Eros, who feed off passion for sustenance, Arianna meets with Kade to plan a counterattack before the demons can strike. However, upon retreating to Kade’s apartment for supplies, both Arianna and Kade are overwhelmed with a sudden rush of passion. Their bodies refuse to obey their minds, and before they can stop themselves, they are engaged in endless rounds of lovemaking. Lost to pleasure even as their minds fight sensation and each other, Kade surrenders to his love for Arianna, and tries to convince her he is what she’s needed all along.

Sometimes, possession is mutual.

Yadkny’s Review

Arianna's past is one of sadness and loss. Her way of coping is to spend her night’s demon hunting with the main goal being to find those responsible for the murder of her parents. Along the way, she meets the sexy and mysterious vampire by the name of Kade, who offers to help her in her quest for revenge by supplying her with intel, but at what price? Arianna never expected her life to be so irrevocably changed when a night of demon hunting goes wrong, or would that be goes right?

Rosalie Stanton takes the cake when it comes to writing sex scenes that take up the majority of the book. Not that I'm complaining. She gives a new perspective on what could be considered repetitious and routine by allowing the characters' personalities to really shine during those moments. The reader will learn a lot about both characters and their own internal struggles while experiencing some of the best pleasure scene writing I've read. It might be a little misleading, since one might assume that since Arianna is a demon hunter, there will be equal parts action both in and out of the bedroom, but just be aware that is not the case. Nevertheless, I couldn't put it down!

Recommended reading for those looking for a steamy read with a very possessive vampire looking to get possessed himself (great title, by the way).

Samantha Grayson has been burned before by Doms, and her attempts at vanilla relationships haven’t worked for her either. She’s gotten such a reputation for being an unruly submissive that most of the dominants at Bondage Ranch won’t take her on. Arthur Marcelli is up for the challenge. But the more they play the more serious it gets, and D/s is just for a little light fun -- isn’t it?

Arthur knows that he has to treat Samantha gently. He also knows she can get a lot more out of herself if he can convince her to let her guard down. To do so he has to get her to trust him -- trust him so much, that he can start pushing her limits, one sensuous step at a time.

Christy’s Review

I really enjoyed reading this book. It is the second in the Bondage Ranch series. Ms. van Yssel’s previous personal experience with BDSM shines through in her books. The characters were realistic and I really enjoyed learning all about them.

Samantha Grayson, aka Sam, is a struggling submissive. She has a long list of do’s and won’t do’s since having experienced some painful scenes in the past. She really wants to be a good submissive but must overcome certain fears, and learn to trust more freely. Arthur is a ruggedly handsome dominate, who’s familiar with the submissive side as well. He’s new to the Bondage Ranch after having just moved from Los Angeles, and immediately takes an interest in Sam.

Throughout the book Arthur tries to push Sam’s limits. She’s apprehensive at first but as things progress, her trust in Arthur grows. There’s an interesting twist towards the end of the book that I enjoyed.

There are a lot of scenarios within this book that I found interesting. Ms van Yssel is quoted as saying in her bio “Yes, people really do the things people do in my books!” If you like aspects of dominate/submissive then this book is for you.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, BDSM theme and content, bondage, exhibitionism.

Christy’s Review

Wow! I loved this story. Author Sindra van Yssel captured my attention from page 1. She is very informative on the subject of BDSM after having personally lived within the lifestyle for many years and it shows within the book. The characters are well suited for each other and I loved learning all about them.

Laera McDougal is an educated, independent woman whose self confident and comfortable in her own skin. Not exactly vanilla, she tends to have submissive tendencies. After getting lost on a nature trail while camping, she finds herself face to face with Bruce Merrick. Bruce is a highly experienced dominate male who’s referred to as Zen Master throughout the BDSM community. As things progress between Laera and Bruce it’s apparent that a full out relationship between the two may not be in the cards for them as Laera is from the DC area, and Bruce is from the Philadelphia.

I found myself learning along with Laera about the lifestyle between dominate and submissive. The story is well written and the characters were realistic. The sex scenes are hot and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

With a heat rating of 4 and 5+ Tea cups “Bondage Ranch: Roped In” is a definite recommended read for all of those who love aspects of BDSM.

Denise’s Review

Samhain. Warring races. Mistaken identity. Fated lifemates. What could possibly go wrong?

I have been a fan of Aline Hunter, also known as J.A. Saare, since reading her stellar urban fantasy Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between. Naturally, upon learning she had penned a new erotic paranormal, I was first in line to gobble it up.

I also must confess that once I have read something stellar from an author, I have slightly higher expectations upon reading their other books. I already knew what this author was capable of doing with words, plot, and characterization; therefore I feared judging her newest book harshly if it fell short of my grading curve.

Friends, Eternity and a Day didn’t just meet my expectations; it blew them out of the water. I wasn’t prepared for the complexity, the numerous interesting characters, the fantastic dynamic between feisty Runa Charon and fierce, alpha Eric Locke. Nor was I prepared for the intense world-building or the imaginative mythology. The writing is sharp and witty, the characters so vibrant they practically popped off the page. This has the making for a very good series, and I do hope she continues. There were too many supporting characters in this book demanding their story be told to leave it where it is.

If you’re looking for a fast-paced, involved story with fascinating characters—not to mention sex scenes so hot you might want to read them in the cold shower—do yourself a favor and read Eternity and a Day. You won’t regret it.

Kaori Carnelian was only sixteen when Los Angeles was hit by an earthquake that devastated it. With the world trying to recover from a plague that has wiped out half of the population, she learns how to survive by her wits and a great ability to hide, scavenging through what is left of LA.

Years later, the government sends in recon men Sergeants Tobias Noble and Orion West to find any survivors before another earthquake destroys everything. They find her pleasuring herself and instantly both want her. Her world spirals out of control in a very delicious way. But when the men have to go find two others in their regiment that are missing, Kaori has to decide if her love outweighs her instinct for surviving.

LynnMarie’s Review

Spirals is a futuristic ménage romance, written in a first person POV. Don’t underestimate this book, or its author, Beth D. Carter. You are not only treated to a scorching hot read, but an in depth story that you won’t soon forget. I was totally engrossed in this novel and couldn’t stop reading until the end.

Kaori has been living all alone for years, in the rundown remnants of LA. She’s learned to be self sufficient, an excellent survivor created out of necessity. It’s touching to read about this young woman’s story. She develops into a woman with no experience besides the sex toys she’s found on her journey. Kaori was such a likable character, and I’ll remember her fondly for a long time to come.

Tobias and Orion are two very different men, but both come to love Kaori as deeply as each is capable. Kaori first thinks they are some of the dangerous men that lurk in the night, but quickly finds out they have arrived to help her. New feelings blossom within her for the two men, and she fantasizes about an encounter with both.

As the exciting plot progresses, the romance also thickens. I loved how close Tobias and Orion were as friends. This was a tasteful ménage with no discomfort or jealousy between anyone.

Spirals has made me a Beth D. Carter fan! If you enjoy a well fleshed out story that will take you away while you read it, with an erotic edge, definitely give Spirals a try.
